The DekBoard team is growing from strength to strength and we’re excited to introduce Andy, our new Operations and Sales Manager for the South-West.
What made you decide to work for DekBoard?
I joined DekBoard because it is a respected company with a strong reputation for product quality and customer service. The role also aligns perfectly with my experience and supports my long-term career goals. As Operations and Sales Manager, I saw an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving efficiency, supporting team development, and strengthening both new and existing customer relationships. Joining DekBoard- part of the Epwin Group, also offered the long-term stability and professional growth I was seeking.
What do you enjoy about working at DekBoard?
Developing and implementing internal processes and overseeing day to day operations. I take a lot of pride in what we are building in the Southwest with the supportive culture and can-do attitude of the whole team, it’s a place where ideas are heard and hard work and effort is recognised and rewarded which makes it easy to stay motivated and strive for continued improvement and success
What does your role involve, or what could a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different, but as the Operations and Sales Manager in the southwest region I oversee the day to day running of operations, ensuring processes are smooth and efficient while also driving sales performance and customer satisfaction. It’s a role that requires balancing people management and process efficiency whilst also remaining commercially focused which makes it both a challenging but rewarding role.
How do you achieve success in your role at DekBoard?
I focus on clear planning, continuous process improvement, and effective team leadership to consistently meet targets and uphold quality standards. The most important person in the entire process is the customer. Building strong relationships and gaining a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations is essential to delivering successful outcomes.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I like spending quality time with my wife and two sons, we have a touring caravan on a beautiful site in Cornwall, and I am lucky enough to call the English Riviera home, so anything that involves having fun and enjoying the good things near a beach and I’m there. I am also a big fan of Torquay United and follow them home and away so you will often find me in a small football stadium somewhere.
What is the best advice you’ve ever received?
To treat others how you want to be treated yourself. And life is what you make it, so go make it the best you can!
